Skin is the largest organ in the body covering the entire body and protecting from outside world.  The skin is selectively permeable which allows the passage of select materials.  The skin has four major cell such as keratinocytes, melanocytes, merkel cells and Langherhans cells.  Keratinocytes is the mother of skin cells which divides and become stratum bacilli, stratum lucidam, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum and stratum corneum.  The cells move upward and then lose nucleation and become a dead deposit over the skin.    Melanocytes impart the colour to the skin while the merckle cells play role in sensation and immune recognition is being done by langherhan cells.   Besides the above, skin also involved in sebum regulation, eccrine and apocrine excretion as well.  Skin can be damaged severely by several external factors such as UV rays, detergents, some cosmetic preparations, bleaching, hair removal treatment, waxing etc.
